Microsoft SQL Server Report Server is a widely used, web based reporting framework that integrates well with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Visual Studio.  SharperLight gives the entire Reporting framework access to the Dynamic DataModel featuring the ability to design, deploy and execute reports using the abstracted Dynamic DataModel layer.

You can leverage existing skills, queries and business intelligence provided by the SharperLight Reporting tools. The SharperLight Query interface is the same as that of Excel, SharperLight Explorer and in Report services.  Using skills developed for any DataModels the method of creating and reviewing data using abstracted definitions remains the same, so exceptional cross application support can be leveraged and a single reporting solution presented to your customers.

The SharperLight .Net Data Provider enables you to create secure reports, based on SharperLight security models which for each DataModel can mirror the data security already in the application.  The speed of SQL Reporting Services is remains consistently good using the SharperLight Data Provider. Query design is optimal and consistent as the Dynamic DataModel holds all the Business Intelligence on the server.Reports then fall into the SQL RS framework of subscription, scheduling and history given you control of parameterized relative and dynamic web based reports that fit into the Microsoft Reporting solutions.

Using SharperLight Explorer a live, web based, drill session can be established drilling directly from the Report. The ad-hoc drill can be driven from any specified field defined on report creation. 

Using the Dynamic DataModel, the complex development is abstracted using centralized intelligence from the DataModel.  SharperLight simplifies and reduces the complexity and duration of report development. 

Using parameters in Report Server makes your reports dynamic.  The content of a report is then updated through the Dynamic DataModel layer and the results returned to the client.  For automated updates reports can then be added to a Report Server Subscription to refresh the contents of a report by a set time period.
